Construction Begins on Greenville Soccer Stadium

New 10,000-seat venue to host Triumph and Liberty teams, opening in 2026

Construction has officially commenced on the highly anticipated 10,000-seat stadium at BridgeWay Station in Mauldin, marking a significant milestone for the Greenville Triumph and Greenville Liberty soccer clubs.

Team officials have confirmed that this state-of-the-art facility is slated to host its inaugural matches in 2026, providing a permanent home for both teams and enhancing the region's sports infrastructure.

The project is a collaborative effort, with substantial investments from multiple stakeholders. The City of Mauldin has committed $4 million, the State of South Carolina is contributing $10 million, and Greenville Pro Soccer (GPS) is investing over $13.5 million. Additionally, Hughes Investments, the developer of BridgeWay Station, has generously donated land and provided in-kind support for planning and development.

Since the initial announcement, the stadium's design has been expanded to accommodate up to 10,000 spectators, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for soccer in the region. Beyond serving as the home ground for the Triumph and Liberty teams, the venue is envisioned as a versatile space for various events, including youth and college sports, concerts, festivals, and community gatherings.

The architectural design of the stadium will harmonize with BridgeWay Station's distinctive European-inspired aesthetic. Features will include grand columns, ornamental cornices, Italian-inspired towers, and expansive archways, creating an inviting atmosphere that complements the development's walkable, community-centered layout.

GPS officials are actively collaborating with the City of Mauldin, BridgeWay Station, and other partners to develop comprehensive operational plans. These will address essential aspects such as parking logistics, pedestrian safety, traffic flow, rideshare operations, and shuttle services. Detailed plans will be shared with the public upon finalization, ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees.

As construction progresses, the community eagerly anticipates the positive impact this stadium will have on the local economy and cultural landscape, solidifying Mauldin and the greater Greenville area as a premier destination for sports and entertainment.
