Greenville Triumph SC has officially signed Jamaican goalkeeper Amal Knight to a multi-year contract, pending league and federation approval.
This strategic acquisition aims to bolster the team's goalkeeping lineup ahead of the upcoming season.
Knight, a seasoned professional, joined the Charlotte Independence midway through the 2025 season, where he made seven appearances, totaling 630 minutes on the field.
Prior to that, he spent two impactful seasons with Lexington SC, establishing himself as a reliable presence in goal across both the USL League One and the USL Jägermeister Cup competitions.
During his tenure with Lexington, Knight ranked among the league leaders in saves and recorded four clean sheets, earning a reputation as a steady and dependable shot-stopper.
His impressive performance places him seventh all-time in league history with a total of 178 saves.
On the international stage, Knight debuted for the Jamaica National Team in 2018 and has since earned 14 caps, including 13 FIFA-sanctioned appearances.
His most recent international outing was on January 18th in a friendly match against Grenada.
At the club level in Jamaica, Knight has made over 140 appearances in the Jamaican Premier League, showcasing his extensive experience and consistency.
