Meeting Grounds, a new café and market, has officially opened its doors in downtown Greenville's NOMA Square, located at the Hyatt Regency hotel.
Serving Counter Culture Coffee, a variety of drinks, pastries, and fresh sandwiches, Meeting Grounds operates daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The establishment features a grab-and-go section, offering beverages and prepared foods ideal for outings at the city's parks.
Additionally, Meeting Grounds showcases snacks and products from across the Carolinas and Georgia, including French Broad Chocolate from Asheville.
Customers can place orders conveniently at self-serve kiosks.
This new venture replaces the former Starbucks franchise previously owned by Auro Hotels, the company behind the Hyatt Regency.
Auro Hotels now owns and operates Meeting Grounds.
"Meeting Grounds is more than exceptional drinks and fresh, chef-crafted food—it's about creating a place where people naturally want to gather," said Brian Crowne, Auro Hotels' food and beverage director.
"Whether that's lingering over a morning cappuccino in the café or picking up the perfect provisions for an afternoon in Falls Park."
The former Starbucks location at the Hyatt Regency downtown had been in operation since 2014.
In 2017, the hotel, originally owned by JHM Hotels, became part of Auro Hotels following a company split.
Meeting Grounds' opening coincides with the vibrant atmosphere of NOMA Square, which hosts events like the Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive and the Greenville Heritage Main Street Fridays, offering live music and local vendors throughout the year.
