The Mockingbird Open In Greenville SC

New Intimate Music Venue Debuts in Downtown Greenville

Downtown Greenville is set to welcome a new addition to its vibrant music scene with the opening of The Mockingbird in January 2026.

This intimate listening room, located within the historic Markley and Gullick buildings on Main Street, offers a cozy setting for up to 250 guests.

The venue's design features exposed brick walls, tin ceilings, and hardwood floors, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

A unique glass wall behind the stage provides a view of downtown Greenville, allowing passersby to glimpse performances from the street.

Inspired by Nashville's renowned Bluebird Café, The Mockingbird aims to foster close connections between artists and audiences.

Peace Center CEO Megan Riegel expressed enthusiasm about the new venue, stating, "The Peace Center is proud to open The Mockingbird as a space that celebrates musical artistry and human connection."

The inaugural event, part of the "Song Sessions" series, is scheduled for January 17, 2026, featuring acclaimed Nashville singer-songwriter Maia Sharp alongside Georgia Middleman and Gary Burr.

Tickets for this performance go on sale Friday, November 7, 2025, at 10 a.m.

For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Peace Center's official website.

As part of the Peace Center's broader expansion plan, known as "A Music Project" (AMP), The Mockingbird is one of several new venues aimed at enhancing Greenville's cultural landscape.

Other developments include the Coach Music Factory, a three-tiered music club, and artist dormitories to accommodate visiting performers.

These initiatives underscore the Peace Center's commitment to fostering a dynamic arts and entertainment campus in downtown Greenville.

Music enthusiasts can look forward to a diverse lineup of performances at The Mockingbird, offering an up-close and personal experience with artists across various genres.

Stay tuned for more announcements as the venue prepares to open its doors and contribute to Greenville's thriving music scene.
